Getting Back Into It
It's usually arond 3 or 4 weeks after a big event that most of us start planning our next race. If you are a bit wired like me, without something to aim for the training just does happen.
But jumping right back in where you left off is not a good idea.
Nor is taking too long a break.
Like most things with this crazy endurance sport, how long you have off after a race is a little bit like Goldilock's porridge.
Here's a quick reference guide from the AIS that was distributed to us TA Accredited Coaches a little while ago that might help you plan when you return to training and how much load you take on. Check it out here !
Either way, good luck getting back into it.
